Description
Dawn drew this at the age of 10. Since she saw her first mountain lion at age 7, stalking among boulders across the draw from her family's cabin, she had found deer that had been victims of attack. Sometimes when the family woke up in the early morning and looked out the window, they found the mountain lion curled asleep under the bushy cedar a few yards from their door.

Hi Dawn, What an amazing, dramatic and sophisicated piece of art for a young girl! The story that goes with this is part of what makes your art so authentic and interesting. I am fascinated with mountain lions, track them in the winter and have seen amost 50 but each time is a powerful, spiritual experience. Thanks for sharing.
