Description

This is the first of two paintings inspired by a photo taken by artist Beverly Ash Gilbert, of spring evening light shining on a branch of cherry blossoms. I loved the way the light shone through the translucent petals, and felt that I just had to paint it. Beverly graciously gave me permission to use her photo and also a beautiful poem she wrote to go with it. The second painting is "Bev's Blossoms"
