Description

In this lovely and airy watercolor, I completely abstracted the green garden background so that just the beautiful blue and purple butterfly and pink flower would stand out as the subjects. I let the color flow on each of the petals to create an interesting pattern and painted each section of the butterfly's wing with subtle washes. To finish I went over the butterfly with a technical pen to add some interesting details.
