Description
Taken with the Canon MP-E 65mm 1-5X macro lens, this is a semi abstract extreme macro shot of the antenna of a Buff Ermine moth (Spilarctia luteum), a pretty medium sized moth of the Arctiidae family. Similar to the puss moth I uploaded last year, it has a hairy head and cream colour, spotted with black like a dalmation dog. You can see the very hairy head on the left hand side and a wild geranium flower in my Sissinghurst garden provides the pink and white background.
