Broken arm bone. Digital frontal X-ray of the fractured right humerus (upper arm bone) of a patient in their early twenties. This is a compound fracture of the shaft (diaphysis) of the bone, with the fracture ends displaced. The bone will need to be immobilised to allow healing to take place. Various sets of data relating to the image can be seen around the edges of the X-ray.
