and mysterious section of beach,
capture of an old fallen oak tree
at low tide...
This is Driftwood Beach,
often called Bones Beach
and Roots Beach,
on Jekyll Island...
The sand is still wet from the outgoing tide, waves receding into the calm lagoon between Saint Simons Island and Jekyll Island. Lights are still lit across the bay as the sky turns from midnight blue to peach at the eastern horizon as the sun makes it's way into sunrise...
