Description
This is a corridor in the palace of Versailles with the classic checkerboard floor and a blue velvet covered bench. Whether you notice the bench first or last, it ends up as a satisfying resting point; you feel you can sit there and take in the beautiful space around you as if you were there.
Versailles is a royal chateau in a small, wealthy town in suburban Paris. When it was built in the second half of the 15th century, its court was the center of French political power; Louis XIV lived there from 1682-1789 when the French Revolution began and he and his family were forced to return to Paris. Versailles is family as a building but also as a symbol of the absolute monarchy of the Ancient Regime.

Many thanks to the buyer in Italy who purchased this as a large, framed print recently. I hope it's just what you are hoping for.

Congratulations as well. That blue really does pop, but then again the entire image pops! So keep it popping!

Wow!

Thank you. It has sold several times in print and once as a pillow. I've had it printed up myself and it really does look good. Appreciate the comment.
