Description
Blue Ridge Parkway scenic sunset landscape south of Asheville NC in winter. I shot this Appalachian landscape from one of my favorite overlooks on the Blue Ridge Parkway on a chilly January evening as the last of the light faded into blue hour. This scenic view from the southern end of the Blue Ridge Parkway looks southwest over the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

How is it possible that a mere mortal could capture shots like this? One word: gifted.
Dave Allen replied:
I'm just grateful that I get to go see these beautiful landscapes, thanks Cindy!

Really love this beautiful shades of purple in this picture. You have captured a really wonderful scene here. It's too bad everyone can't come and see this beautiful area that we live in, but you manage to take it to them.
