Blue by Karen Cook - One early winter morning, it was bitterly cold.. The bare branches of the trees were covered in frost and ice crystals. As the sun rose, the sunlight reflected on the ice crystals, casting everything in a soft shade of blue. The Blue Jay, fluffed up against the cold, faced the sunlight, no doubt hoping to soak up some of its warmth.
