In early spring, woodland anemones form low carpets of white , pink or lavendar flowers. There are other kinds of anemones such as Snowdrop Anemone and Japanese Anemone. The long lasting, satiny flowers give way to attractive, wooly, white seedheads. The colors in this image have been enhanced.
