Lt. Marvin Arthur
Stationed in Debden England, the 334th Fighter Squadron, 4th Fighter Group received their P-51 Mustangs in in 1944. Sporting a distinctive red nose and a tremendous array of pin-up nose art, the 334th FS had a total of nearly 400 victories against the German Luftwaffe. Lt. Marvin Arthur initially took command of the P-51D "Davey Lee", but would quickly get his own personal ship which he quickly referred to as "Blondie", named after his wife. Blondie P-51 displayed the outstanding nose art of Sgt. Don Allen - who painted most of the nose art for the 334th Fighter Squadron. Lt. Arthur finished the war 1.5 victories. Crew Chief D. Allen and Assistant Crew Chief J. Byrge would serve with Arthur to the end of the war.
