Against the Summer deep blue sky these fluffy, feathery Pampas plumes are backlit by the sun's glorious rays.
Fresh water marsh plants commonly referred to as Pampas grass, Reed grass or Phragmites - have an iridescent quality to them that glisten and shimmer as they dance in the in the sun.
Whether by fresh or salt water these tall plants always command attention in the landscape.
Domestic varieties are often to be found in the garden for a striking ornamental display of foliage.
Latin botanical name is Selloana Cortaderia.
