Description
1958. The greatest football run in LSU Fighting Tiger football history. It was LSU against one of the very best Ole Miss teams ever. Neither team had been scored on in the previous 7 games. Ole Miss led 3 to 0. Billy Cannon, of LSU, received a punt on LSU's 11 yard line. Cannon escaped 7 tackle attempts before crossing mid field, from there it was all green to the goal line. LSU led 7 to 3 with 10 minutes remaining. In the final minute of the game LSU held the Rebels in a goal line stand at the 1 yard line. Cannon helped make the winning tackle. Cannon won the Heisman trophy that year. Happy Halloween!

Tell whoever wrote your Description that it contains some errors. First of all, that game was played in 1959, not 1958 (although both teams had also played in Tiger Stadium in 1958). Secondly, while LSU had played seven games before that one, Ole Miss had only played six. Thirdly, both teams HAD been scored upon in their prior games, though just barely. LSU had given up but two field goals all season, and Ole Miss had only given up a single touchdown when Tulane ran the opening kickoff back for a touchdown. Otherwise the rest of the Description is accurate.
