Description
Some vintage items that once were standards items in any barber shop. A set of manual clippers, a straight razor and a shaving brush would be all that was needed by a skilled barber. A bit of nostaliga would make a really nice gift or display for todays' barber shop.

Great light and tones and an excellent vintage still life. My choice for DFM&N for February 4.

PAUL, AGAIN, YOU TOOK A COUPLE OF SIMPLE TOOLS OF THE TRADE THAT A BARBER USES AND REALLY CREATED A MASTERPIECE WITH GREAT LIGHTING ON A MAHOGANY TABLE! THE COMPOSITION, THE WAY EVERYTHING IS SET UP LOOKS BEAUTIFUL! I REMEMBER, LIKE IT WAS YESTERDAY (1960) WHEN I USE TO GO AROUND THE CORNER TO THE BARBER SHOP WITH MY FATHER FOR A HAIRCUT! THE BARBER HAD A PIECE OF LEATHER HANGING ALONG SIDE THE CHAIR WHERE HE SHARPENED THE RAZOR BEFORE GIVING A SHAVE AFTER PUTTING ON SHAVING CREAM WITH THAT SAME BRUSH IN YOUR'E PHOTO! THOSE WERE THE GOOD OLD DAYS! AGAIN, BEAUTIFULLY DONE!, LES (F/V)
