Description
The Bank Bridge across Griboedov canal is one of the most famous of the many magnificent bridges in St. Petersburg, Russia.
The centerpiece of the Bank Bridge is its golden-winged griffons (sculptor P. Sokolov) that hold the chains of the bridge and provide support. The four creatures are representative of mythical beings who were said to be the guardians of treasure. At 1.85 meters, it is also the narrowest in the city, a miniature architectural gem. The Bank Bridge is a small pedestrian suspension bridge, whose innovative design hides the bridge's supports inside elegant sculptures. The deck of Bank Bridge is wooden, keeping the structure relatively light, and it has been replaced several times in nearly two centuries. As well as the griffons, Bank Bridge features beautiful cast-iron railings, notable for their ornate, palm-frond design. The original railings were removed at the beginning of the 20-th century, and the current railings were installed in 1952, recreated from the original designs.

Excellent -- old world feel with the architectural style and finish that you've given this piece.
