Description
Back stage a young ballerina ties her pointe shoes.
The painting was created mostly with a pallet knife and a small amount of brush work to finish off details.
At first the dancer was all black and white and reminded me of one of Edgar Degas' dancers. I almost left her that way, but then decided to add some color. I like it much better with the touches of color.

My vision is not so good due to cataracts and when viewing this work she looks like a daisy and I like that as well as the ballerina!

Jani I agree, better with the colors! Degas gave wonderful motion and presence to "his" dancers -- you added energy! Wonderful! l/F
