Early birds on the beach can watch the orange sun rising out of the Atlantic Ocean, tinting the sky and the water with the most unusual shades of color. This watercolor-effect digital painting is based on an original photo of mine, taken on the beach at Assateague Island, off the coast of Maryland, on a very calm summer day. The two seagulls were not afraid of my presence - but they did keep a certain distance ahead of me on the beach!
