Description
This is my series of photographs taken at Atalaya Castle in Murrells Inlet, SC. Construction on the structure, located within Huntington Beach State Park, began in 1931 by Archer Huntington and his wife Anna Hyatt Huntington a noted sculptor. Mrs. Huntington sculpted from live animals, so the castle includes dog kennels, horses stables and bear pens. The Huntingtons used the home until 1947.
