Hydromancy is a method for doing predictions by analyzing the movement and appearance of water. There are many different ways to predict events by using water like with the help of a ring attached by a string and a bucket, analyzing the ripples after throwing pebbles in a pool (Lecanomancy), by examining water inside a vase (Eromanty) or by gazing at the reflexion of water (Castronomancy, pegomancy, water scying).
