Old arched bridge to Shamian Island (Shamian dao), the well-preserved historical colonial area of Guangzhou (previously known as Canton) in the south of China. Guangzhou, located on the Pearl River not far from Hong Kong, was for many years a major point of trade between China and Western powers such as Britain and France.
Here, umbrellas add a splash of colour to this peaceful scene.
