Description
The ruins of the original Wrightsville-Columbia Bridge can be seen in the foreground with the modern bridge just to the south. The original Wrightsville-Columbia bridge was one of the longest covered bridges in the world. It was burned to keep the Confederate Army from crossing the Susquehanna River in 1863. This beautiful print is a blend of history, modern engineering and nature as the sunrise shines light on the icy shores of a town that still retains its charm from years gone by.
