To be honest I wasn't and am still not sure what to make of this odd collection of "stuff" I wandered across on Long Island somewhere between Jones Beach and Fire Island. Perhaps a pirate fort? Maybe a gathering place for Parrot Heads to meet before a Jimmy Buffet show in the amphitheater? I really don't know but the scene was fascinating to me.

Holy Cow JC, it seems like folks get a little weird when there is a beach around. Sure was that way at Newport when I was in high school. We have one of those 'Don't Tread On Me' flags that we fly every day. f/v
