Many thanks, Ramon for featuring "All is Quiet' in Abstract and Surreal Art. This painting seems "quiet" but strange things are happening if you look really close. Certainly, it's surreal!!

Many thanks, Jim for this feature. WHAT Interrobang has always been a prized destination for my art. Much of my work comes under the category of WHAT? It's exciting that way.

...this piece is absolutely outstanding Nancy! The beauty and wonderment of looking into a winter's mountain valley -- a peaceful village; all's quiet. A dreamlike experience -- all this and your personal subconsious chance- taking attack. First-class stuff to be sure! L/F

What a beautiful comment, Bill. You may have made my "year" with this one. I am so guilty when I use Picasa because I know then that it's not "fine" art, but gosh, what a world of fun negative colors can be!! I think of Ansel Adams and his darkroom methods and that makes me feel better. Half Dome never looked that good in person.

I was thinking of all of the Christmas cards we sent and received over the years....until people stopped doing that. And the carols as well. Thanks so much, Lenore!!

F/L Kind of like Lost Horizons - a surprise village last in the mountains - peace reigns and beauty is everywhere:>)
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
This does have a Hollywood feeling. I'm reminded too of neighborhoods where all of the trees are lit from beneath...really glamour lighting you pay for....

Stunning stillness filled with beauty and promise! Wonderful illuminated abstract! fl

I love Picasa negative. Every scene takes on a symbolic feeling, an epic possibility. It's like being a stage manager and being in charge of the lighting!
