Description
Adolf Galland
Messerschmitt Bf-109 (Me-109)
One of the most charismatic and acclaimed Luftwaffe fighter pilots, Adolf Galland fought actively during the early years of the war before being promoted as Germany's Commander of the Fighter Force (General der Jagdflieger). In this capacity he was forbidden to fly combat sorties. He would eventually have a falling out with Senior Luftwaffe Staff, but was allowed to form his own jet fighter unit (JG 44) where he flew the Me-262 into combat in the final days of the war. Adolf Galland would finish the war with 104 credited victories. He served as an expert technical consultant on the movie set Battle of Britain.
This fine art print includes an aged background designed from an actual World War II military map. A timeless design for any decor!
