Photo taken in Davis Mountains State Park, Texas in June 2012. Acorn Woodpeckers had many holes drilled in the tops of the telephone / electric polls in the park, as well as visiting the two feeding stations to eat the peanut butter-lard-cornmeal mixture the park host put out daily. I was pleased to finally capture this bird on a natural looking limb.
