Description
St Ives is one of the most famous of Cornish holiday towns. It has been loved for generations for its crystal blue waters, golden sands and a warm welcome and over time it has evolved into a cosmopolitan and chic resort.
The town is cradled around the harbour where boats still land fish for the local restaurants. There is a maze of tiny cobbled streets lined by fishermen's cottages and quaint shops with a breathtaking seaside vista at the end of each one.
In the summer months the town is a blaze of colour as the buildings are smothered baskets of blooms
St Ives is renowned for its art due to the wonderful quality of the light. Often you will find painters hurrying to finish a sketch before the light changes or before the waves wash their palettes away.
