Description
This surreal and abstract image was discovered as I was riding my bike to run some errands I past the courts, police district headquarters I glanced to my right and rode by and then made a 360 turn and stopped to take this photo, It had reminded me of that wire game you would put in yoir palm of you rhands or walk down steps, slinky, it slinky, As usual my camera travels with me everywhere I travel, I used my Nikon 820 macro zoom, manual setting and used the zoom lens through the Hurricane Fence which the barb wire was connected....The conditions of the New Orleans Jail system in the past was unacceptable to house cell mates. At times the crime in New Orleans was out of control especially after Hurricane Katrina,,,,A new jail will soon be housing cell mates in a more up to date facility In most cases the crime rate and death rate had sicken the community as a whole the senseless killings and crimes, There was also a tent city to take care of the over flow population at one time in the city history. The Mayor, police chief, police officers, clergy, parents of victims of crime, citizens held public marches and rallies to finally put an end to crime and killings. That was then and this is now, and the messages were heard and this great American City has its streets back for tourist and locals alike. Aware of the negative impact over the years which fell upon New Orleans I am still proud to call it my home. Mankind perhaps around the world will one day live in peace and harmony with one another for future generations and civilizations to co-exist with each other. This is an introduction to a new series No Escape From The Other Side To Freedom Reality. It seems society has its impulses regardless here in the United States or anywhere on the globe. Since the beginning of time we have all as a civilization gone through the changes of human instincts. This powerful image would be ideal for any law enforcement facility as a reminder to every inmate the reality of crime you are now imprisoned and guilty until proven innocent by due process by a count of law.

Hello Steve, thank you for viewing A Perspective Of Crime In New Orleans Louisiana, I appreciate the generous comments and the L/F, there is no question , if I would have been in a moving car, it would have been just another street and a blur passing by. There is an advantage being on a bicycle you can either brake and get thrown off, or make that 360 degree turn around....Cheers, Michael Hoard
