Description
This is the main house of the provincial historic site Haynes Ranch. It is a 3 separate 10 minute exposure overlay. The first exposure used an LED flashlight to paint the exterior of the house. The second used a halogen on the bottom interior and a LED on top interior. The third, no flashlights were used.

Beautiful shot. What an interesting foreground for the star trails. Well thought out and obviously well done.

Wow. How in the world could someone not appreciate all you do to get these done? I live in a very rural area of Kansas, and don't get around much to see galleries, etc., but I have never seen anything even close to what you do in the subject matter that you choose to do it in. If good for your ego, great, but that's just a side note to your amazing work. Everything you do is in a special place in my favorites. Keep it up! I'm lovin' it.

Thanks Don. You are pretty good for my ego. This shot was planned days in advance. Planned to do it on a new moon. Drove an hour and a half to the ranch. Laid down in prickly sage brush for the set up. Took the first shot. Opened the shutter and painted the house with anLED flashlight. 10 minutes later, finished the shot. Second shot, I lit up each room and the upstairs with a halogen flashlight. 10 minutes, time to start my next one. Opened the shutter and went for a walk. Another 10 minutes and done. I then overlaid the 3 images to get 30 minutes of star trails. So, about 40 minutes for the 1 image. Loved every pricking minute of it.
