Description
Great White Egrets are mating and building their nests in the trees located on the island in Murphy Park in Taylor, TX.
"The Great Egret (Ardea alba) also known as Common Egret, Large Egret or Great White Heron, is a large bird with all-white plumage that can reach 3.28 feet (1 meter) in height, weigh up 2.1 pounds (950 grams) and a wingspan of 65 to 85 inches (165 to 215 cm). It is thus only slightly smaller than the Great Blue Heron. Apart from size, the Great Egret can be distinguished from other white egrets by its yellow bill and black legs and feet." --Wikipedia
