This is the front end and grill portion of a Vintage 1948 Chevrolet 2100 FK Fleetmaster automobile. Original photography has been slightly enhanced for true color.
The 1948 Series 2100 FK Fleetmaster
The Fleetmaster, was the replacement vehicle for the Chevy Special Deluxe model. It sported a hefty 216.5 cu in (3.5 L) Straight-six engine with a 3 speed manual transmission. Available in 2 or 4-door sedan, 2-door Sports Coupe, 2-door Convertible and a 4-door Station Wagon for hauling the whole family around in. A Fleetline sub-series was also available both of which featured "fastback" styling and additional triple mouldings on all fenders. The Chevrolet Fleetmaster was also produced by General Motors-Holden's in Australia.
