Inspired from a photo of my dear friend Stacey's peonies. I was captured by the elegant simplicity and the glowing light of the misty spring day. This inspirational Christian Scripture verse from Isaiah 40:3 seemed to fit this image so beautifully. "The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of the LORD stands forever."
Peonies are one of my very favorite flowers, I never tire of trying to capture their fleeting beauty. The worn, grey aged fence boards with their rustic country texture sets off the refined, elegant beauty of the single blossom. Copyright 2015 Audrey Jeanne Roberts, all rights reserved.
