Description

Metamorphia is my first oil in many years which draws from experience in monochromatic acrylic paintings. The mysterious girl has a haunting and deeply psychological quality as expressed through her own metamorphasis. The use of bright yellow spot colour brings energy into the composition while emphasising the changes that are transpiring between the butterfly and the exposed eye of the girl. This is also intended to mirror the experience in a very personal way to the eye of the beholder - you and I.
