Jesus Donkey In Bluebonnets
Photograph - Digital Photography
This is a photograph of a beautiful, little "Jesus" donkey standing in a field of bluebonnets (the state flower of Texas.) This type of donkey has it's name because the stripe down his back and across his shoulders resembles a cross. This image was taken near Brenham, Texas, one of the most prolific sites for bluebonnets and wild flowers in Texas. If you have never been to Texas during the month of April, you have missed one of God's greatest watercolor creations. In the central Texas area and the hill country of Texas...around Austin, Brenham, Fredricksburg, the LBJ Ranch...you will see field after field of some of the most beautiful wildflowers anywhere. The fields are full of blue, and pink, and red, and white and chartreuse, and yellow...oh, my! I'm not talking about a little patch of color here and another patch of color there, I'm talking FIELDS of color, sometimes as far as you can see. It is absolutely breathtaking, and you can't help but feel that you are sitting right in the middle of God's watercolor canvas. This image would be so great hanging over your fireplace, on the wall of your home, in any Texas office building, bank, hotel or hospital. This little guy just warms your heart and the bluebonnets are the extra touch.
