Description
This piece has been featured in the FAA Groups, "Beautiful Flowers ...", and "Flora".
"Spring Pink" is a bulbous perennial with erect stems having linear, spirally-arranged, glossy, dark green leaves and, in early to mid summer bear large, semi-double, upward-facing, soft pale clear pink flowers with green centres whose petals shade to darker pink and are outlined with purple-wine on the edges and sparsely speckled with deep raspberry spots.
This outstanding double Asiaitc Liy set a new standard for garden beauty. Carefree and highly floriferous, this charming lily produces up to 16 large delightfully fragrant opulent blooms per bulb enough to fill your garden with beauty and color in one planting! Growing up to a majestic 48" tall, it makes a spectacular backdrop to shorter border plantings. Plant as a focal point in the perennial bed, or pot in containers for sweetly scented blooms on decks and balconies. Remarkably hardy and vigorous, "Spring Pink" is a must-have for your garden.
This hybrid double asiatic is pollen-free making it great for cut flower arrangements and there is no need to worry about it creating a mess in your home or on your clothes - reasons why these are called "Kiss Lilies".
Lilium (members of which are true lilies) is a genus of herbaceous flowering plants growing from bulbs, all with large prominent flowers. Lilies are a group of flowering plants which are important in culture and literature in much of the world. Most species are native to the temperate northern hemisphere, though their range extends into the northern subtropics. Many other plants have "lily" in their common name but are not related to true lilies.
Asiatic lilies are the most popular within the lily family and are the perfect, easy to care for option for any garden type. The Asiatic hybrid comes in a variety of color combinations, such as pink, yellow, orange, red, and white, and is the hardiest of the hybrids.
