Description
Our Goal: To remind people about Beautiful creations or Blessings everywhere around us in Life. They have become so common, many except the children have stopped thinking of them as amazing miracles or Blessings.
Personally prefer Black and White images, after processing them in my Darkroom for many decades. Though many images are appealing in color there is nothing so dramatic as a black and white.
..............................................
Many Museums will only purchase black and white Photography.
..............................................
There are many viewpoints from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon on the Arizona side or south rim this one from Hermit View is one of my favorites.... If disabled you can get a pass to use your own car along Hermit Road, otherwise you have to use the Bus service, but it is frequent. You can get off the Bus at one viewpoint, stay as long as you wish, and another will be along soon.
................................................
Some of our favorites viewpoints are reached from the South entrance, others on the west side in the Navajo Reservation. Our favorite view points are, from anywhere along Hermit Road to Hermit Rest, like pima, mariopa, hopi, or views from various areas and Yaki which can only be accessed by bus.
.............................................................
Then there are Mather, and Yavapai, which are must see locations. Probably at least 90% of visitors go there so they can be crowded
.................................................
Less crowded locations, with fantastic views are Guano, Lapin, Moron, Navajo, and Desert View. Most all of the viewpoints have views of the Colorado river, but some of the best have no view of the river or very restricted one. Maps of the park show some of the areas that you would like other than Mather and Yavapai. Peaks that are prominent such as Isis Temple, Thor, Zoroaster, and views of the Abyss. There are also many trail heads along the south rim where you can walk down a ways (take plenty of water) or even all the way to the river.

Beautiful - the twists in the snag and the rock in black and white have an interesting play off of each other.
