This crash we ran across involved a small sub compact vehicle stuffed full with 8 Amish adults an a driver. The driver was injured in the crash and taken to the hospital in Millersburg, Ohio. This crash tied up traffic for well over an hour on this 2 lane county road. I just can't believe why or how the state lets these drivers get away with stuffing this many people into a sub compact car like this. This crash happened on Holmes County 1 (County Line Road).
The Amish depend on the English to drive the from point A to point B if it's too far to go with a buggy. Most English driver are either retired or disabled and they get paid very well by the Amish. This pay is usually tax free since it's paid in cash. The English drive Amish everywhere including to and from work, To and from the store and yes some take the Amish on vacations when they need to go state to state.
