A rare collection of recent paintings by Maui and Minneapolis Based Artist Marilyn Allysum. As an innovative and exciting Chinese brush painter, Marilyn Allysum has developed her own inimitable style. She uses classical Chinese brush techniques in which the brush becomes an extension of the whole being. The phenomena of the natural world are reproduced subtly, effortlessly and with intuitive improvisation. Allysum is trained in the Southern Ling Nan style which is noted for its colorful approach. In this collection of paintings, nature is the theme. The work evokes intense images of mist-filled space, a moment of time captured; and reawakens memories of quiet reflections amidst the business of our lives.

Directions and Parking
The Woman’s Club of Minneapolis is located one block south of Loring Park, on the east side of Hennepin Avenue across from the Walker Art Center.

The Woman’s Club has two parking lots on Oak Grove Street. One is adjacent to the Club and the other is east and across the street.
