The Skies of Peace and Passion
Jeni Bate will be showing a group of skyscapes at the Fontana Art Depot and Fontana City Council during the months of April and May 2012.
"I paint the skies with peace and passion, because that's the way they paint me."
Jeni's medium is sky, and she uses many different paints and techniques to represent it. A childhood photograph shows her painting a sunset, and its rediscovery brought back the memory that most paintings of that age included vast areas of sky.
To this show she brings a collection of refractured watercolors and watercolor collages.
The show will run from April 1st through May 25th.
Art will be located at the Fontana Art Depot, 16822 Spring St, Fontana and City Council Chamber Foyer at 8353 Sierra Ave, Fontana.
There will be a public reception on Thursday May 17th, 5-8pm at the Senior Center, 16710 Ceres Ave, Fontana, which will include a discussion on the methods used in creating in this medium.
