The Flesh Melts in Pleasure
When
like a hailstone crystal,
like a wax image,
the flesh melts in pleasure
how can I tell you?
The waters of joy
broke their banks
and ran out of my eyes.

The Flesh Melts in Pleasure
Through much of man’s history, poets and writers of every generation
celebrated the delirious effects of love and the physical union.
Some likened it to the mystical union of divine lovers.
In this series, the artist Daniel David Talegaonkar,
celebrates with all those who ecstatically expressed their feelings,
and acknowledges the prescience of philosophers
like Plato who said: ‘At the touch of love, everything becomes a poem’
- except he chooses the canvas to indulge in some metaphorical rhapsody.
