Steps to Realism with Bruce St Clair

Do you at times have a desire to paint you subject matter so that it looks more realistic, paint it the way it really looks, with a sense of presence, more convincing textures etc? This workshop, which embraces all subject matter, all mediums, and all skill levels, will guide you through a seven-step progression leading to realistic painting using masterful techniques that help all artists to achieve greater quality and depth in their work! It will emphasize the importance of accurate drawing, value dynamics, modelling the form, spacial relationships and making the most of your photo references.
We will paint practice samples of a variety of subjects, so bring photo references of typical subject matter such as landscape elements, man-made artifacts, still life and interiors etc., plus the reference(s) you intend to use to begin a painting.
