SCENT MARK - an exhibition of paintings & photography on wildlife by KAZI NASIR

This exhibition takes the passion for the wild that he nurtured for a long time, come to life - literally on canvas. His fascination for the extraordinary beauty and grace of the animals and the natural wild - lends him a hand while he creates these fascinating art pieces.

Kazi, has been long using the wetlands and the forests in the Himalayas as a spiritual and soulful escape to connect to his deepest and purest part. During his many treks he has captured the diversity of the wild, through his photographs and now through his canvases.

Each of these artworks are a clever mix of the backdrops and wild animals painted on them. The scenery is imaginary and straight from the creative mind of this talented young artist.

Niten Mehta of TAD Arts says, \" I am astonished and intrigued by the fact that more often than not, the viewer is forced to believe that these are photographs that he has recaptured on canvas - but on a closer look, one realizes that all of them are created and visualized by this master of technique and simplicity. He chooses to be as natural and steer clear of fantasy.\" Kazi Nasir completed his Bachelor\'s Degree from Government College of Art and Crafts, Kolkata. It was since then that he reacted against the model that trained artists in technical skills but not so much in innovativeness. He has since mastered his technique and visualization and has managed to create a more contemporary model to evolve a global language. In his works, one can find a miniaturist precision while the images are finished photo-realistically. The imagery therefore are crisp and supersede commercial exactitude of the highest degree.
