The inaugural Springs Preserve Ohana Festival is a family-friendly celebration of Hawaiian and Pacific Islander culture.
Focusing on educational activities and entertainment for all ages while highlighting the importance of ohana (family), the event will feature performances by local hula halau, beginner hula lessons, lei making, crafts and games for the keiki (kids), a Fine Art Hawaiian Art Gallery with live art demo’s and plenty of ono grinds (great food). The on-air crew from KUNV 91.5 FM s \"Little Grass Shack\" island music show will serve as emcees and will broadcast live from the event.
The festivities will culminate with a concert by the Kalama Brothers, whose debut CD, \"Keau\" explores the brothers\' Hawaiian roots.
The Hawaiian Art Gallery will feature artwork by Jeffrey Oldham, Lily Adamczyk, Anna Norris and Roberto Rico.
Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 5-12. Children ages 4 and under are free. Online ticket price includes $1 per ticket convenience fee.
