The Oregon coast is an excellent place to find and photograph birds and marine life. In May, there are nesting colonies of Common Murre and Cormorants. Marine life includes Harbor Seals and Steller and California Sea Lions. In addition, the coast is home to Bald Eagles, Great Blue Heron, Black Oyster Catchers and an array of song birds. Students will learn birding and wildlife spotting techniques, photography techniques, exposure/composition and more. There will be plenty of time for photographic exploration, creativity and “telling” a story with the photographs taken during the weekend. The workshop will end with photo critiques/questions. The hours of this workshop are 8 am to 2 pm and there will be travel to photo sites.
Registration begins in March 11, 2013.
