Ninety Nine Small Works
The 9 East Contemporary Art Exhibition "99: A COLLECTION OF ORIGINAL SMALL WORKS", features a wide range of works in concept, media, and style by the 9 artists of the guild:from the formalist, abstract impressionist paintings by Richard Vaux; the detailed, nature inspired colored pencil drawings by Sandra Benny; the pit fired clay carvings of Hugh McElroy's Native American influenced ceramic works; painted works and ceramic panels inspired by colors, textures and rich traditions of her native India by Puneeta Mittal; also, colorful watercolors of imaginary life forms and landscapes inspired by the microscopic world by Ewa K.Adamczyk Alvarez. The color photo encaustics by Sandra Carrion and the mixed media Interior/Exterior landscape collages of Sylvia Harnick add an interesting dimension to the exhibition. The provocative digital photographs by Agnieszka Serafin-Wozniak and the whimsical, mixed media sculptures of John Fink round out this exciting exhibition.
The 9 East Contemporary Art is a guild comprised of professional visual artists with a mission to present ongoing fine art exhibitions to museum and gallery curators, collectors and to the Long Island community. Each member brings to the show their art and extensive exhibition resumes and professional training in the visual arts and art history.
