New Westside Arts District Underway

The official grand opening of the JoAnn DePolo Studios and Gallery launches the start of a Westside Arts District in North Olmsted. Depolo, whose work hangs in the celebrity homes of Artist Peter Max, Omar Vizquel, Aretha Franklin and Kenny Loggins, joins nationally recognized artist in residence Patti Dibenedetto Corna in the North Olmsted Cherandon Plaza located between Dover Center and Lorain Road.

By opening the studio and gallery, DePolo now has a significant space to display her colorful contemporary artwork, teach and offer studio space where artists can thrive. The Official Grand Opening of JoAnn DePolo Studios & Gallery is Saturday June 15, 6:30 - 9:00pm

DePolo has planned a celebratory evening of arts immersion combining visual, culinary and performing arts. On sale is original work in wide ranging styles and subjects that include paintings, jewelry, painted glassware, and photography by studio artists Janice DeAngelis, Rita Hassett, Dani Altieri Marinucci, May Mooney, Andrea Patrick, Colleen Ward and Margie Ridenour.

"Place your brush stroke on the Come & Create™ North Olmsted Community Mural and become part of North Olmsted’s rich cultural history,” says DePolo. “I have great enthusiasm for this arts district's success. In addition to the grand opening, we've got a packed schedule of summer events; Friday night painting in the streets, outdoor music performances, solo art exhibits, juried shows, and classes for all ages.”
