Hope After Sandy: an art benefit
On Charter Day, May 18th, Wee Little Arts and St. Mark's Episcopal Church are putting on "Hope After Sandy: an art benefit." The proceeds from the event will go to the Center for Community Renewal in Keansburg, NJ, a charity that is directly helping those most effected by Hurricane Sandy in storm ravaged Keansburg. The Center for Community Renewal provides breakfast and lunch seven days a week, has social workers on site to help those with mental health needs, they have an extensive food pantry, and they provide a sense of community to people who are still healing from Sandy's effects.
