Handmade Local Holiday Gift Show
The Peter Lawrence Gallery in Gaylordsville Ct. will be presenting a special show of locally made holiday gift items. The “Handmade/Local” Holiday Gift show will be open from Saturday, November 17 - Sunday, January 6. The gallery is open Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 12 - 5 pm.
The show will feature a wide variety of handcrafted items including original painting, photography, works on paper, glass, jewelry, ceramics, sculpture, wearable art, toys, fiber art, and books by local authors.
The Peter Lawrence Gallery, which is owned and operated by artists and long time Connecticut residents takes a low, 25% commission from our artists. With 75% of sales going directly to artists (who are all from Connecticut and New York). Shopping at Peter Lawrence Gallery is a direct show of support for the arts in our community.
The Peter Lawrence Gallery displays Peter Lawrence Scalera’s sustainably harvested, wood furniture year-round. We are proud that many of our featured artists show the same commitment to the environment by crafting up-cycled and reusable items.
Sherman based mixed media and performance artist Adelka Pollak will be showing a variety of up-cycled bags. From re-usable gift bags to messenger bags featuring original paintings as patches on them, they range from a few dollars to $100.
Gallery co-owner, and New Fairfield resident Jill Caprio-Scalera is selling a beautifully illustrated children’s book with an up-cycling twist called “Granma’s Jammas.”
Danbury jewelry artist Mei-Ling Uliasz appropriates vintage toys, compacts, buttons and thimbles, to create whimsical and unique composite jewelry. Her “Thimbilism” necklaces are not to be missed.
The Peter Lawrence Gallery is located at the North end of the Basket Shop and next door to the Carriage Barn. Both shops also sell unique home and gift items. Shop Gaylordsville this holiday season!
