Join the Artist, Mary Ahern and the Huntington Arts Council for an examination of the process of creating.

Creating and designing the garden that provides the source material for Mary Ahern’s Fine Art is just one step in the process of transforming her garden into her dramatic Mixed Media Paintings. Working and experimenting in the same garden for over two decades has provided the basis for her creative workflow.

Using extensive digital technology to capture images, edit and digitally paint them is part of the her creative process. She will discuss her camera, digital image storage, Photoshop editing, Wacom tablet and Corel Painter workflow.

Finishing her work using traditional paints and gels using Golden Paints products brings each work a unique and individual voice.

The Q and A following the presentation will be open to discussions about Gardening, Technology and/or Painting techniques. The audience will decide.
