Acrylic Painting Workshops are being offered at Michaels Art & Craft in Chico, California! Have some fun learning how to paint in Acrylics from an expert instructor, Frank Wilson, with over 40 years experience as a professional artist. Level; Beginner to intermediate ages 14 and up. Limit 12 students per class.

Two Painting workshops every Monday!
Beginner Workshops are 2 hours long. Tuition is $25.
Intermediate Workshops are 4 hours long. Tuition is $50. (every other Monday from 1 to 5 PM)

Michaels is proud to have Frank Wilson, an artist of international repute, teaching the Grumbacher Acrylic Painting Workshops held every Monday afternoon and evening. Frank has been with us since July of 2010 and has taught hundreds of beginners to paint in a realistic manner the natural beauty spots here in Northern California.

Under his skillful direction, Frank's students have painted the wildflowers on Table Mountain, the Honey Run Covered Bridge, Mount Lassen, Lake Tahoe, the Sierra Nevada Mountains in all seasons, Feather Falls, Yosemite, the Feather River Canyon, local almond orchards in full bloom, the Sutter Buttes, fields of lavender, Rock Creek, the oaks along the Skyway, and dozens of dramatic Seascapes inspired by the Mendcino and Fort Bragg coastlines. Frank has also taught how to paint beautiful still-life paintings with bowls of apples and pears.

Intermediate Workshops are four hours in length and are designed for students with some previous painting experience.You will work with an extended palette of colors using more advanced techniques and work on 12 x 16 inch canvas (or larger if you prefer).
