DRAWING Camp
June 8-11, 2013
• Would you like your child to become a better observer and problem solver?
• Would you like your child to activate his/her brain in a new way?
According to the Kennedy Center Arts Edge, “The arts lead to higher test scores in the classroom. Self-esteem increases when a child feels confident in the classroom. Skills learned from studying the arts including concentration and dedication, affects classroom values and test scores.”
Drawing is a method that can be used to see the world in a new way - to closely observe, to contemplate, to appreciate, and to execute. Drawing can activate a part of the brain that may not be regularly used. Learning “to see as an artist sees” is a developed skill with lifelong benefits.
Anyone can learn to draw. “Talent” is not a requirement, but having fun is!
I would like to share my love for drawing in a camp this summer.
